1872<\/td>\nThe Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (also known as the Salesian Sisters of St. John Bosco) was founded by St. John Bosco and St. Mary Domenica Mazzarello in Mornese Italy.\u00a0 It is a female religious congregation dedicated to the integral or holistic education of the young, especially the underprivileged, as the way to Gospel citizenship.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
1955<\/td>\nSalesian Sisters from China went to Hong Kong and the Philippines to establish communities for the educational mission.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
1985<\/td>\nThe Mary Help of Christians School in Minglanilla Cebu was established.\u00a0 The school offered the following: (1) basic education (from pre-school to grade ten) (2) free night high school to young working women (3) short-term vocational courses such as hi-speed sewing, cooking and cosmetology to young women and mothers.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
1986<\/td>\nThe Women Development and Technology Center was established to provide technical-vocational\u00a0 education or skills training to graduates or non-graduates of secondary education.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2002<\/td>\nThe school offered additional vocational courses: computer literacy and basic office procedures that later became Business and Office Technology and Industrial Electronics.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2005<\/td>\nThe Department of Technical Vocational Education was separated from Mary Help of Christians School in Minglanilla Cebu. It became a separate institution, known as Mary Our Help Technical Institute for Women (Cebu), Inc.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Mary Our Help Technical Institute for Women (Cebu), Inc. is one of three schools in the district that piloted senior high school, two years in advance of its nationwide implementation in the country. The Accountancy, Business Management (ABM) and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) tracks were offered.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

July 2015<\/td>\n

Kharla Santos and Clarissa Margallo, second year Consumer Electronics and Mechatronics Servicing (CEMS) students were judged as winners in the provincial level of TESDA\u2019s 2015 Cebu Skills Competition, with the theme, \u201cSkills: Bridge to Prosperity\u201d. This accomplishment garners for the students a TESDA NC 2 rating in Mechatronics Servicing.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
August 2015<\/td>\nKharla Santos and Clarissa Margallo, second year Consumer Electronics and Mechatronics Servicing (CEMS) students were declared winners in TESDA\u2019s 2015 Regional Skills Competition. The school served as a venue for this competition.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
October 2015<\/td>\n10th<\/sup> year anniversary\u00a0 of Mary Our Help Technical Institute for Women (Cebu), Inc. as a premier technical educational institution catering to poor but deserving young women.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

The first commencement exercises for senior high school with twenty-four graduates from the STEM track and twenty-eight graduates from the ABM track.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
